American Medical Staffing is committed to partnering with health institutions and medical professionals to promote patient safety and clinical excellence, by providing competent and compassionate supplemental support throughout all services offered. Why We are different
When our founder who is a nurse, set out to establish our local organization in 2002, it was quickly discovered that there was a tremendous need for an increase in quality healthcare staffing options for our healthcare community. A goal was immediately set to establish a high standard in the community that would be felt by our clients, our clinicians, and would impact other staffing firms in an effort to encourage a “raising the bar” affect throughout the healthcare staffing marketplace.
This was further affirmed in October of 2006, when American Medical Staffing became the 1st HealthCare Staffing firm in the Region, and only the 14th in the entire state of Texas to voluntarily achieve the Joint Commissions’ Gold Seal of Approval. AMS became the first nationally recognized firm in our area to achieve Certification as a HealthCare Staffing Services Organization.

In November, 2008, AMS was once again awarded the National standard of Certification as a HealthCare Staffing Services Firm by achieving our second certification through an unnaounced survey, and once again earning the Gold Seal of approval by the Joint Commission. Staffing firms who are awarded The Joint Commission’s Certification are able to show proof of their standards, and are able to prove to their clients and clinicians that they provide leadership in their fields, and are striving for excellence through continued improvements in their operations. We are not a “warm-body” placement company! AMS takes great pride in the selective hiring process we instill into our daily operations. We look for those “above standard - exceptional professionals” which often come through direct recruitment, professional referrals, and believe it or not, many times from direct referral from our clients. We consider this to be one of our greatest compliments when we receive referrals from our staff, our clients, and their family and friends. Because of this, AMS has enjoyed a remarkable low turnover of professional staff, which in turn provides a valued benefit of continuity of care for our clients.
